What an exciting month we have coming up. The Australian Herpetological Society (AHS) is proud to present a presentation from none other than Dr Harold Cogger (a.k.a Hal) on his current work on the herps of Christmas Island and their decline to extinction.

Hal is a life member of the AHS and was very active in it’s early days. He last spoke at the society in the late ’80s / early ’90s, so it is a real pleasure to have this icon of Australian herpetology talking to us on the night.

Meeting will be held at the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts – Mitchell Theatre, 280 Pitt St, Sydney NSW 2000 on Wednesday 25th June, 2014 at 7:30 PM.

If you have a copy of Hal’s new book “Reptiles and Amphibians of Australia (7th Edn.)”, he will be more than happy to sign it for AHS members who come along. We will also have a few copies of Dr Cogger’s latest book which will be raffled off on the night. It should be a big night, so get there early!
